Lighting For I.AM.LIFE (Non-Profit)

Blog by: Russo Mutuc

Last week, I was asked by a friend, Ruben Diaz, gaffer owner of ( Hero Productions ) to help him setup lighting for a non-profit ( I.AM.LIFE ). Everything was donated from the grip and lighting 5 ton truck, to the hands that helped rig all the lights. It was a fun set, considering it was being lit like theater style, and we had the chance to cut and shape lighting.

"Ruben also asked his friend, Justin Janowitz, to help out for the day. Justin is a DP that often works with Ruben. They've collaborated on multiple projects together, including several music videos. There was a green screen component to the I.AM.LIFE event, and Justin oversaw the rigging and lighting of that element, where later in the evening a Canon 5D MKIII would be used to transport guests to tropical beaches."
